Character: David Beale
Actor: Nicholas Audsley
Episode: A Lesson In Murder

Would-be conscientious objector and committed pacifist, Beale never the less becomes violently agitated when he feels he is being railroaded by this tribunal panel. This earns him a night in the cells and some rough treatment by a policeman and his subordinates. There are suggestions that he might be mentally unstable and his growing reputation as a writer will have to be posthumous as he doesn't live to see the opening credits.
