In 1998, The Coolgardie Tourist Bureau celebrated Elizabeth Gold's life by holding a dinner in her honor at the old Coolgardie Hospital. The event was exceptionally well supported, selling out before the night and attended by hundreds of people. Despite our best efforts, Elizabeth did not join the celebration - although she may have been watching from a distance.
